BUSINESS IMMIGRATION
Business Immigration
Are you interested in establishing a business in one of the world’s most stable economies? The Canadian government offers a variety of programs designed to support aspiring entrepreneurs in launching and growing their businesses within Canada. These programs provide access to a wealth of resources and expert guidance. Additionally, existing business owners have opportunities to expand their operations into Canada. Both provincial and federal levels offer several business programs tailored to meet diverse needs.
Business Visitor Visa and Investor Programs
Investor programs are designed for individuals who can make significant financial investments in Canada’s economy. While some investor programs have been discontinued, alternative pathways still exist through PNPs and specific regional programs. Individuals or companies can obtain a visa to visit Canada temporarily for the purpose of meeting with Canadian clients or expanding their business, making investments, or strengthening business relationships. Companies can also invite individuals to Canada for training related to product use, sales, or other aspects of a business transaction. Following an exploratory visa, entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to establish their businesses in Canada.
PNP- Entrepreneurship Programs
Many provinces and territories in Canada have specific business immigration streams under their Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs). These streams are designed to attract business owners and entrepreneurs who can contribute to the regional economy. Each province has its own unique requirements and program structures.
Start-Up Program
Having an innovative and practical idea can facilitate the development of a robust start-up plan. The Canadian government permits individuals with groundbreaking ideas who are capable of creating jobs and competing on an international scale to establish their own businesses in Canada. This program provides a pathway to permanent residency for qualified applicants.
Entrepreneurs must secure support from a designated Canadian venture capital fund, angel investor group, or business incubator. They must also meet language requirements and demonstrate that they have sufficient settlement funds.
Self- Employed
The unique score-based program is designed for experienced athletes and artists with at least two years of self-employment experience, allowing them to start their own business in Canada. This initiative provides a streamlined pathway for these professionals to leverage their expertise and establish a business in the Canadian market. This program is currently closed to new applicants.
