FAMILY SPONSORSHIP
FAMILY SPONSORSHIP
One of the greatest joys in life is experiencing the best of Canada with your family by your side. Canadian citizens and permanent residents can sponsor their spouses, partners, children, parents, or grandparents, and even other family members in Canada. The Canadian government has implemented several measures to expedite family reunification and bring families together as quickly as possible.
The sponsorship process is governed by immigration laws and is designed to support family reunification.
Spousal/Common Law Partner Sponsorship in Canada and Outside Canada Class
Canadian citizens and permanent residents who are over 18 years of age can sponsor their spouse or common-law partner to become a permanent resident of Canada. The relationship must be genuine and ongoing.
Parent and Grandparent Sponsorship
To sponsor parents or grandparents, the qualifications include a commitment to provide financial support for a period of 20 years. Despite this long-term responsibility, many Canadians choose to sponsor their parents or grandparents to enjoy the significant benefits of having their family close and to strengthen familial bonds.
Dependent Child and Other Relatives Sponsorship
In certain cases, a Canadian citizen or permanent resident may apply to bring individuals other than parents, spouses, or children to Canada. For more information and to determine your eligibility, please contact Golden Bridge Immigration.
